Bugs have versatile forms and iconic silhouettes, which provided a way for me to incorporate my own illustrative style when designing new species. The practice of preserving and collecting insects also lended to the ways they are portrayed in my garments.
Combining techniques from sculpture and practical movie effects, the fashion set pushes the boundaries of what can be considered an article of clothing. The pieces are tied together with a combination of iridescence and insect forms, but can be worn individually as well.
